When I type link:mysite.com and links:mysite.com into Google, I get 2 totally different results. Links: gives over 100 times the number of results that link: does. With Yahoo, the reverse is true. Here's the breakdown for my site: Google link: returns 207 links Google links: returns 23,100 links Yahoo link: returns 159,314 links Yahoo links: returns 128,000 links What is the difference between using link: and links: ? Which is used by each Search Engine for backlink analysis and higher search engine ranking?
when you use link: in Google it works as Google operator that provide the number of backlinks that Google considers. However, when you try links: Google takes it as a general key term, hence show thousands of results..
well the difference between link and links is if you type link:site.com- it shows the exact results that are cached by google and all are do follow links. if you type links:site.com- it combines all the results of do follow and no follow links and displays all the results.
If you type link:sitename than it shows back link. and if your type links:sitename than i will treat "links:sitename " as a keywords.
