Hi folks, I have a question that I am researching for a planned blog post and I want to see if my experience and thoughts match those of others.

Each page on a site should have its own goals which in turn dictate the tasks required to create, promote and measure those goals.

When looking at your own site or sites you have worked on, what do you consider the goals of are for the:

    1. Home Page
    2. Category Page
    3. Product Page (eCommerce sites, including those for lead generation) / Article Page (Content Sites)?

I expect people to have widely differing opinions here but I want to know what others think before producing a post that's solely made up of my own opinions and experience.

I've placed this in the SEO Section as each of the above requires differing SEO effort and my post will be slanted towards this task.

Just as the name suggests. Homepage should contain contents related to the main/home page, product category should emphasize on the type of products offered and every other necessary details about products and services while the category page can attend to other areas of the website depending on the niche in the website belongs.

I hope this is helfpul, otherwise, i missed your question.
