Best place to put text links?

What is the best place to put text links for a high ctr? Most of the time they are placed in the sidebar but I'm thinking of selling 10 links and would like a high ctr for the buyers.

The site is financialblog.us if you want to give a specific suggestion.

You can always integrate text links into new posts.

Well other than your sidebar and posts, I don't really think there is anywhere else to put text links :)

Footer might be an ok place but not as good as the sidebar or an above the fold spot.

Did you mean the footer of posts, like next to the comments link?

    Yes.
The Links with just 2 word anchor text, I think will look decent.

I tried it once and it looked good.
Also depends on theme and template.

That could work. I think math20 thought you meant the footer of the page, not the posts ;)

Footer of the page is a regular trend which now becomes a bit odd for me.

So suggested the post footer :)

Exactly, the page footer is not a very visible area, which would probably lead to a low CTR

I got a new wordpress theme and it is perfect for selling links. Big fonts on the navigation, not a lot of link competition, realy cool gradient and bottom part thingy; check it out!

I think I will sell 10 links under the "helpful sites" category and 2 links in the upper navigation.

My brother has done a bit of research on this matter. He swears that the best place to put the links, if the purpose is to attract clicks, is at the top of the page, just underneath the header info for the page.

Of course, his purpose and research was for finding the best place to put links so that he can attract clicks to his Adsense links.

So, if you are intent on helping your advertisers receive traffic from their posting of their ads on your website, somewhere near the title of your page should produce the best results for your advertisers.

If the text links are purely for seo, then I suggest you use a text-only browser to view your website (this is how spiders view your site) & put the links near somewhere that is above the others.

    Here's a link to iwebtool's spiderview-
    iwebtool.com/spider_view

To get the attention of human eyeballs, the sidebar is a good bet on a wordpress powered blog! I suggest using a button, with an alt tag.
