I give him a thumbs down. I really think a lot of his campaign promises are going out the window now that every special interest group/Congressman is stuffing money down his pants. He is just as corruptible as any other politician.

And I would love to tell him thanks for giving my tax dollars to banks, companies, and people that obviously have problems managing money in the first place. Thanks!

And if I hear anymore about how Michelle Obama is the best First Lady of all TIME because she wears so many DARING sleeveless dresses, I'm going to f*cking barf. Seeing her bare her arms does SO much for the friggin' country. Newsflash: we haven't had an attractive First Lady since Jackie O....

    PARTY IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

I think the hope is that confidence in the economy will rise if the Obamas are having a good time. Can you say narcissistic, unqualified, illegal immigrant dipshit 5 times fast?

Well, the alternative to that is letting the banks go into administration, which would completely destroy your economy. Which would you prefer? If you would rather let the banks fall so you can pay a little less tax you are horribly uneducated on the subject.

I guess you trust the same government that got us into this mess to take us out. Please tell me why Obama said in his campaign no air marks and he just signed a bill with over 3,000 air marks. A bill President Bush would not sign (promised to veto).

Isn't that a direct lie. He said he would never sign a bill with air marks. Its obvious that Obama isn't running this country (congress is), and he is too scared to get either houses mad.

Letting the banks go into the administration is surely not a bad thing as the current situation shows that the banks with its extremely well paid executives are treating them like casinos. Let these be nationalized and get a parking warden to be the figurehead CEO, I think it will fair much better. Wall Street will fall through the roof, but which is more important? Protecting the general population or the investors?

I like that he put a stop to the DEA raids on California Medical Marijuana Dispensaries. (although it's strange for a democrat to protect state's rights over federal rights. Maybe just trying to show that he's nicer then Bush?)

Everything else, haven't really been paying much attention. Is he the Anti-Christ yet? lol:rolleyes:

The banks were not the ones who got us into this mess. It was the sub-prime mortages that the government required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to dole out that caused us to be in this rut.

Banks were required to give $200,000 houses to people making less then $20,000 a year. One mad got a 1.75 million condo and he was making $19k+

What the hell is that? And the government is supposed to take us out of this. Since the stimulus bill passed, what good has it done?

Protecting the investors/banks and the general population is one and the same. If Wall Street falls to the ground who is that going to benefit? The answer is no one. If the banks are allowed to fail who will benefit? The answer is again, no one. Both would cause mass unemployment and push your economy into a depression that would last for a very long time.

Actually it is the delaying of the inevitable that is going to make this depression last for a very long time. It's going to be very ugly no matter what we do now, but we have an option - quick and painful, or long and painful?

Free markets work best when they're actually free.

It took Bush long enough to get you in the mess - 50 days is too early to decide, give him another 315 days and then decide. The worst case scenario is that Obama's akin to Tony Bliar - I hope he isn't for the sake of American DP members and the rest of the world...

Have you kept a track of how many campaign policies he has broken in his first 50 days in office?

Off the bat I can count 6 major violation including:

    1. No lobbyists in his administration
    2. A new era in the White House (6 tax cheats to date nominated)
allow 5 days for public to review bills before they are passed (stimulus bill passed within the first 72 hours)
    3. No earmarks (remember the bill passed last week 3k+ earmarks)

That's a hell of a way to start the best presidency in years. So please don't say that Bush lied because Obama did just the same. f there is one thing, Bush never lied to get into power. Obama blatantly lied to get elected.

    I don't like him.
His a great president, but he had better competitor- Hillary!
I prefer her, but Obama got elected, and I'm fine with it.
I don't like his financial way.

I can live with the fact that he is liberal because I knew that from day one. What I cannot deal with is all the maniacs who are so blinded by his charm and refuse to admit that he is no different then Bush, Hillary, Clinton or anyone else in Washington.

I am not "horribly uneducated" as you like to call it. I study the economy constantly doing some reading, research, etc. on it. I am probably more educated on the economy the the average person. And yes, to answer your question, I would rather let these banks and businesses go under to make way for other businesses and ideas. They had their shot, they fuc*ed it up by being too greedy, selfish, etc. and now it's someone else's turn.

I'M SICK OF MY TAXPAYER MONEY GOING TO CORPORATIONS LIKE AIG WHO TURN AROUND AND PAY OUT MILLIONS OF BONUSES TO THE ASSHATS THAT CREATED THIS MESS!

We should be rewarding hardworking, HONEST businessmen. Not giving millions of dollars to people who would sell their children for $5 a piece.

Letting these banks fall is not just going to hurt the overpaid bankers. America is built on debt, as are almost all businesses, with out the banks there would be nowhere to lend money from and all business will be in serious trouble, every business from microsoft to the little cafe down the road. All it would cause is mass unemployment, a huge drop in demand, a huge fall in GDP and inflation would probably fall through the floor.

But its okay, you get to save $1 a year in tax money, awesome.

Absolutely! Obama has been brilliant. Close to perfect actually. As close as anyone could ask of a President coming into such a horrendous situation following the worst President since at least Herbert Hoover.

Here is an idea that liberals fail to understand. The government is not the answer to every damn problem on the earth. The f it up just as much as the corperations.

Can you name three things that he has done since he became President that count him so much better then "evil" Bush?
