    Hey guys,

I'm sure a lot of girls would have done hair straightening but what about guys ? I'm thinking about getting it done day after as my hair is wavy and I just hate it that way :|

Anyone tried it before? are there any ill effects of doing it ? if so please let me know

    Help would be appreciated :)

    Thank You

If you do it too often it will fry your hair. Also make sure you use a good straightener and not an iron like some people do - that will burn your hair as well.

Other than that, there aren't really any ill effects. It's probably not healthy, but it's also not the worst thing you could do to it.

Did it a few times in the past, with chemicals. It lasted many weeks, no big deal.

Just don't do it for months and months with no break, or your hair will break!

I was told that you can do almost anything to hair, as long as the portion is external to the scalp, don't do anything that affects any deeper than that.

Alright guys... I'm not going to do it myself! I'm going to a salon tomorrow already have fixed an appointment for it... my hair is currently neck-long so the price for straightening is INR 5000 thats around $100

As getjimmy said Hair Straightening for men is somewhat different to girls, from my research I need to take care of my hair for first 3-4 days like.. no wetting them etc.. etc.. lets see what the Hair dresser asks me to do :)

I'm gonna post a Before and After pic after I get it done ;)

Well i do hair straightning bt it really damages your hair too much if you make it habitual so make sure whenever u do hair straightning wash ur hair with shampoo and conditioner and apply Cerum or some hair shining lotion to your hairs and then go for hair straight and do oiling whenever you wash your hairs after straightning ... These tips prevent your hairs a lot ... I am thinking of rebonding now but i luv my curls too and i sometimes go for curls and sometimes for straight so lets see :)

Well hair straightning is usually done with hair straightners ... and rebonding is the permanent process to make your hairs straight so basically both r for straightening hairs bt one is temporary and other is permanent until ur new hairs grow

I think the new hairs will be wavy; I am not sure as I have very limited knowledge on these kind of hair treatments. But one thing is for sure it damages your hair.:(

Yes hair rebonding is permanent but no treatment can make your new hairs to grow straight so obviously they will be curls so rebonding is not for men/boys as you will be having your new hairs in 7-28 days :)
