Racism - What are your thoughts on it?

What do you guys think about racism? I know there are a lot of racists on dp too, some red reps when I posted my pic confirmed that
I personally think that it is a sign of immaturity and low standard of education. What are your thoughts on it?

I would set a example for this:

When we donate our blood, do we mention on it that which race it belongs too. When a patient needs blood, will he tell the doctors that he wants the blood from his own race and that too it should match his blood group? I doubt, he will survive till then.

Coming to the point, racism, caste, society, culture etc is not god's gift to the planet. Its the people who have made all this and now they are fighting and killing innocent people and animals in the sake of religion.

Some are spreading terrorism while some are spreading differences of opinion between two religions.

Just my thoughts.

 

Really Good reply Alok. I agree with you but unfortunately these religious creeds, fanatics, and racism do exist in our society. I have seen many well reputed, educated men and women behave in worst manner when it comes to racism, all their education and broadmindedness evaporates in thin air.

nice one alok, though I wonder if it's gonna get into the think skulls of those racists...They'll just find another excuse like they've been doing so for years.
Have any of you ever been subjected to racism on DP? Here's mine: I posted a couple of pics in this thread first i received a grey rep saying "UGLY NIGGER" and when I posted that in the same thread, got a red one saying "damn...that guy forgot the word sand". I'm not saying dp's full of racists, but then again, you get all kinds of people everywhere...

 

Racism is against humanity, against all religion, but unfortunately many people are indulging in it. the news we get about the racism are just the tip of the iceberg in my opinion.

 

Our body is not mortal but our soul is.

People who do such thing do not know anything about soul.

I'm inclined to agree with you that racism is largely the product of people being unable to form their own opinions and simply adopting the same narrow-minded views as their peers.

 

Because you're essentially inviting racists to comment and give their side, and any racist posts are against the rules here.

EDIT: And if you don't like what one mod does, don't go whining to another. That's not how we operate here. The thread's staying closed. In addition to essentially offering racists a platform since you're asking for a discussion about it, the thread itself is already full of insulting posts that are not acceptable here (no matter how much you may disagree with someone, a group, or their beliefs), and what's worse is that in the OP you blatantly felt a need to direct it at actual DP members rather than a generic discussion. Get over it. We don't allow the insults and racist platforms in P&R and we don't allow it in general chat - nowhere.
