I honestly felt like Windows 7 should have been a free upgrade for Vista users. Vista hasn't been out long enough for them to retire it so soon.

I thought about installing the BETA myself, but I was worried about losing all my work files if it crashes on me and I read that my firewall, antivirus and other security programs might have compatibility problems with the Beta Version of 7.

7, xp is already pretty and use more ram doesn't means that's BAD, people need to realize that ram is there for something ... Like cache.

Windows 7 can't beat XP. Using more RAM is not a problem. RAMs are cheaper now. My desktop has 3 GB RAM.

I was a Vista user and I was happy with it. Now I have to moved to 7 and its better than vista. The performance is much better than Vista.

Its working nice and better than Vista, even though its still in beta.

    Thanks

I personally like Vista better than XP. But, to appreciate Vista you need min. of 3GB of RAM.

Install windows 7 according to me. But remember, it's just a beta and you might encounter lots of bugs.

Windows 7 still has some compatible problems like vista. I guess we need still wait to sp2 to get a better idea which is better.

XP is great until you get to wireless connections - If i had to choose between XP and 7 though I'd go with 7. It's pretty stable and although XP did a great job, 7 will likely replace XP as soon as it's out of beta.

win7 actually scales down very well to crappy hardware computers. i was using it on an old computer i had laying around and it was still smooth and snappy.
