NO Most beggars i encounter look good enough to earn a living by themselves. Monetary help is never helpful...
I am afraid I regularly try to help beggars but my husband and brothers advise me not to. As they are Professional Beggars and will keep on begging. I don’t know but some beggars manipulate with their worst possible condition.
Not all, some, especially elderly women.. who would feel really really pity when seeing such person asking for something and i would try to help them within my limits.
yes, help beggars.. would be better if community teachs, educate, and invite beggars to go work (if they have capable and enough energy)
I help the beggars wherever I see. Mostly in railway stations and in Traffic stations. But I dont pay them more than .50 $ per head,to be true.. In the railway station, once I ended up giving away my food and all the fruits
If you want to help beggars, tell it to the authority, they would give them shelter and food.. I wanted to give them money or things, but the problem is they will get more used in begging than helping themselves. It would be better if you donate it to charity groups.
every well said kerosene ... I never give money to the beggars coz from what I know sometimes they use the money not for food but for Drinks ... I try to give them food or cloths whatever the needs are
Charity groups are not always the best way to go unless it is an established and reputable charity. There are some that are just scams. Although it may be good to directly give food and clothes to beggars, it does not solve their problem. It would be better to help an organization that is working to offer jobs and other income-generating opportunities to beggars. That may help them to learn not to depend on others and live through their own hard work.
I use to give money for any beggar when i was kid but now i only give money for the beggars who are old! Bcoz i don't want to give the money for the small kids and encourage them to begg!
