the users name starts with Trojan and i seen his/her site in their Sig

gamerscourt.com and I like games, so I was going to see what they had.. well I clicked the link in the sig, and next thing i know McAfee comes up with a threat..

is this allowed ?? users to put sites with Trojans in the Sig ?? if so, I'm afraid I'll have to leave DP.. it's not worth getting trained.

and their user name starts with Trojan.. not like they are trying to hide it..
can something be done about this ??

    here is the member

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=7238

now, I'll see u in a few hours while I scan my pc :(

thx, please do something about this, or let me know it's okay so I can leave :(

When is the last time you Updated your Software???... Do you have it to Automatically Update Daily???... If so you should be Pretty much safe...

I personally do not like McAfee or Norton anylonger after many years of use...
There are *Free* Programs like Spybot Search & Destroy, SpywareBlaster, Ewido Security Suite, Ad-Aware SE & A-Squared that do a pretty thorough Job of keeping you computer clean and protected...

As for someone trying to "Intentionally Infect You" that may not be the case and their site could have been *Hacked* and setup to do just that...

Just keep your software up to date on a daily basis is the best you can do... :D

I'd Ban him and on top of that I.P. Ban him if he is advertizing a malicious site.

my stuff is up to date :) and I'm not worried about my pc.. i have some decent protection..
but I'll still scan my stuff tonight,,, and I was on a bit of a rant.. i wont leave DP over this..

    but..

I doubt all users are protected as well as I am.. so this is also to protect them from something like this..

as far as his site being hack.. his name is Trojan ??? I'm sure he/she did this themselves.. ;)

well after scanning my PC last night I had 2 Trojans and some spy ware..
I DID NOT have this b4, because I just recently formated my PC..

I hope this person gets banned,, why does DP allow this to go on ?? and they are also selling their URLs ?

This is ridiculous.. I've thought about it.. and I wont stick around if nothing is done to this person..

I was wondering if he knew that a scam site was in his sig, but because of his pseudo i highly doubt he doesnt know about it.

Gamescourt.com is a fake whois. US name and street. He doesnt want to be bothered by California authorities and think a fake whois could help his case. What a criminal.

Was wondering if action will be taken against a member spreading trojans via his sig.

If someone could report him to California authorities, it would be a +. He could also be reported directly to Microsoft.

Fake whois from Tajikistan, but who's stupid enough to believe it, certainly not DP members.

Good US boy spreading trojans on DP members computers.

Has anyone confirmed that this is true?

I had this guy do some work for me, and he was reliable and did well.

I really don't see why he would be spreading a trojan...
