Why would you bother, he has no credibility, posting to his blog is only stroking his ego......I have more faith in the tooth fairy than him.
Here's one reason why Matt and Google love WebmasterWorld... They just say what Google wants them to say!! Then the moron again...
1543 diggs - http://digg.com/tech_news/How_One_Spammer_Got_BILLIONS_of_Pages_into_Google_in_3_Weeks Wow.
My own page on that got only about 50 less. http://digg.com/tech_news/Results_of_a_MASSIVE_Google_Ban_-_7_BILLION_Pages
It seems Matt is trying to keep a lid on this. My post was deleted. LOL have you seen this? http://www.cartoondollemporium.com/mattcutts.html
I get tons of these sites searching for my site's name at Google. http://www.google.com/search?q=emudesc qrugjm.info mftzxb.info mube9u.info n2h0j1.info o2vm4l.info 3hwqhp.info zu5crf.info 1vubl5.info azbam3.info cw3nsb.info 6p5uha.info mpqrz8.info gk6865.info hjp8qo.info ...
Er, this is search engine SPAM were talking about, not E-Mail SPAM. Find one news story about some one being locked up for SPAMing search engines like SPAMoogle.
There's still tons of sites out there: http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=site:.wn9kr.info&btnG=Search What it looks like they are doing is banning the ones that people mention in threads (I'm guessing this one lasts at least until Monday due to the weekend), and what they MAY have done is stopped spidering .info sites, because the ones I was tracking (about 250 of them) seemed to have froze as far as counts go. Either that or the site: command could be returning 2 day old results to throw us off. That's kind of tinfoilhattish though, so I'm gonna go with the first guess. -Michael
wn9kr.info have little over 48,000 pages indexed in google. I don't see any ads on any of the pages so how do they make money?
honcivex - Those listings that look like search engine results are actually pay-per-click ads. The link you see when you mouse over the anchor text is not the link you are clicking on. Right click on a link and hit Copy Shortcut, then paste that into Notepad. All of those look like ppc through someplace named peakc.com. -Michael
Forget about Monday...it's already banned!! Maybe we should turn this thread in to also talking about the site:domain.com screw-up!!! Then they might fix that!!!!
Did they fix the entire create-a-million-subdomains, or did they just manually ban this one offender? bbiaf.. need to go write a script... $sub.domain.com echo dump_mfa_crap($sub);
