Hey guys I was browsing thru another forum and found the following link.

    http://freedownload.butterflymarketing.com

It is MF's famous butterfly marketing script and apparently he is giving it away for free (5000 copies).

Btw has anyone used this before? Also have you had success with it?

I was just reading an email and apparently only 1 in 15 people will be able to get their hands on this. That means 14 in 15 won't be as they only giving away 5000. crazy

Okay this isn't free really considering a person has to pay $39.99 for shipping and handling (well I have to since I am in the UK).

Butterfly Marketing Script is the bees knees if you know how it works. Don't be pressured in to buying or ordering your free copy. That $29.99 ($39.99 UK) is more than enough to pay for CD Material and postage and packaging. I bet he makes about $10 for each one he sends out. Clever marketing.

naw... realistically Butterfly Marketing may be great, but if I was a previous customer that paid like tons of money for the script, I would be pissed that all these people get it for free. That is my opinion. Somehow I smell something funny........

Don't get me wrong- I likie Butterfly Marketing. I wish I could get it for free. And some part of me sort of wants to get it, but a small thought in the back of my head was like...either there is a catch, like you may get the script as long as you remain a member of the promotion or it may be the older version that he offers for free, which means bugs and stuff or... gosh... he is using it to draw people into his "butterfly trap" from where there is no escape since no one reads the fine print. *laughs* Just sometimes I wonder why someone would offer a script to 5000 people when he charged oodles of money for it in the past. I know, sure...it can be from the goodness of his heart. But by the previous price charged for the script, I hardly doubt he has such a good heart. :p

I am willing to bet this is the same setup as frank kern did a while ago.

I am guessing you can get it free and when you sign up you sign up to some kind of monthly newsletter of which you get the first 30 days free. If you don't cancel the sub in the first 30 days then you'll probably have to pay 100's of dollars a month to keep the sub and recieve the newsletter. This has been a common business model in this market recently.

Yeah it is the same setup. You pay $29.95 s/h and are signed up for his newsletter which is $29.95/month. He makes about $18 profit from the shipping and handeling. Even though he still is making money of the "free" product I still think it is worth it for the software you receive. Now if this software is outdated I have no clue. I believe this was first released in 2006.

His sales probably fell enough over the past 3 years that he wanted to change it up a little bit to still make some money off of it. Instead of just scrapping the program he is going to bring his profit margins per person down but greatly increase the customer amount. I have heard that his newsletter is fairly good although I doubt it is worth $30 bucks a month, so he will probably keep 50% or so for a handful of months at least.

The other way he is going to make a lot of money off of this is his "one time offers".

After you pay for the shipping and handeling you will be offered a "One Time Only" chance to sign up for a seminar that cost $1475!

If you don't take that offer you will be "downsold" to the seminar in a digital version you download for somewhere around $700.

This really isn't about getting the software out to people. It's more about the huge amount of money he will get from the one time offers. I believe this is his way of ending the Butterfly Marketing in a more "should we say Productive way" lol.

Just thought I would put in my two cents.

    Take Care,

    MrMartin

I was interested in it a few years ago, but I thought, " Who the hell would pay around two grand($2,000) for this course?"

I wonder if all the tactics are old now. I'm going to see how much he is charging for shipping and handling to Canada! Even though I live in Canada, just next to the States I bet I'll be charged an International fee. Which is crazy because both Canada and the States are considered North America. This happens to Canadians a lot by Americans. Anyways that's another topic.

I might get it, if there is any left and if the tactics are still fresh. From the sounds of it, it seems like I'll be lucky to even get it. Oh well, I'm guessing these tactics have been said a thousand different ways online! But, I'll still try for it.

I've never owned or used it, but lots of the "big names" in internet marketing are using a similar tactic lately. I believe Ewen Chia released a "free" book that sounded like it was a tactic along those lines. You know how it is, once somebody has a bunch of success with something everyone else follows suit.

I don't mind these kids of business models and these kinds of promotions, but I am a little perplexed about big name marketers sending out communications that filsaime is just being hugely generous and giving stuff away. Their emails etc make no mention of the fact its no more than a way to get you onto a list of subscribers, they leave that to the small print of Mike's promotion.

Like I say, nothing wrong with the promotion, but I wonder if their conversions etc would improve if they were a little bit more "upfront" about things.

    Exactly my point :)

I came across an article the other day regarding Terms of Use and how most companies just fill it to the brim with so much jargon everyone short of a Law degree can't so as much understand whats going on.

I think the upfront approach would make people definitely trust in the service, which in turn would end up being an auto-promoter in itself.
