You Still Promoting Your Website On Directories???

I think You have hit a bulls eye.. That is the most important point. without the content we are hopping in the dark to make a success out of a failure. It doesnt matter how much we promote . we will have people visiting and leaving in seconds..

 

i don't like directories because most of the directories are being closed because of no revenue.

 

My problem is exactly opposite. Most of the directories are selling their real estate and list worthless sites thus making internet and directories a spam ..
I want them to to be careful on what they do. I want them to visit the sites to make it sure whether the site in question is worth a listing

 

I think it will help little bit for ranking

 

It will help a lot if the have a good page rank and if they are search engine friendly, but you'll have to do a lot of research, as most of them are closing

 

RCPSI is right.. Most of them are closing down.. It is of no help. Most of the directories just to evade penalty by google are using no follow tags with urls listed. Just think about it. You pay to get listed and you receive a link with no follow tag..

 

We all did submit to directories with the hope to monetize on ranking.. We wanted good backlinks and directories served the purpose. But, we are not helped by directories any more. It is not considered great by search engines

 

There are people who are submitting to directories with an argument that yahoo and msn still accepts the links from directories. If google is discounting them whether the acceptance of yahoo and msn does matter?? I dont think so

 

So what do you guys think of Ezine Articles?

Personally, I have been doing fine with just keywords and such on my site. I was thinking about article directories... but I really thought about the Pros and Cons and is it really worth writing thousands of articles on other sites if they will just close down, as you guys said. Although, Ezine has a very good reputation and is going somewhat strong. This was the only directory I was going to work with.

Anyways, back to my question..... Do you guys see Ezine as "junk," too and is Google looking at Ezine the same ways as the article directories that have been closing?

 

So what is going to replace the Web Directory. What is there for people to do to get backlinks now? By spaming blog comments?
