I have been working in the Japanese market so I have several websites which has PR3-5 (mostly 4). Now, I am making a website in English and I'm wondering if I should put links from those Japanes sites to the new English site. There are unrelated, and different languages. But at leaset I can get links from high PR sites using keywords. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
Its not probably advisable....Google is likely to detect that the links are from your own websites(via IP) and it might hurt your future rankings.
Thanks guys. As for IPs, I use several different servers so it sould be ok. I wouldn't use the sites on the same server. As long as it doesn't hurt, it's worth traying then? (at least it doesn't lower the rank?)
If links from other sites lowered your rank, then it would be quite easy for people to bump off their main online rivals If any site will lose ranking, it is the Japanese site from which you are providing links.
Good point. I have read a discussion about this before though...(Where people ware discussing if you can lower rival sites rank.)
You can...but there wouldn't be any benefit to do so because the language of sites are different and thus irrelevant to link them.
I think it depends on the submission. If you are submitting an article and u place it in a some wrong category then it may prove to be useless. Or same is the case with directory submission. So you should be able to get some quality links which are appropriate to the site theme.
