No... you are thinking too much in terms of SEO etc. The best web designs companies are good at what? Design of course! Your site has no indication it has anything to do with web design sorry to say. Get a theme that looks visually appealing. And this is no plug or anything, but for example I like nice themes and if you look at my video site aiononlinegame.com you will see it looks visually appealing. Second, get people to write content from a designer's perspective. The better your designs are, the better you will do. Even if you are only writing about web design or digital art, you still need to draw that person in so they can say, "Hey, I like the look of this site. Let me see what else they have."
Yeah i saw many web design companies that create variegated designs, flash sites and so on, but just some of them are really good at what they do. My website is about effective web design regarding the usability, accessibility, seo, monetization and some other aspects, not how to daub your site with extra colors and graphics. I taked a look at your site aiononlinegame.com, I'm sorry but i didn't kept my eyes on it for more than one or two minutes, i think that you've chosen the wrong contrast for your colors of text and background, it too hard for reading, and that is what my site is about, how to pass that problems, when designing a website. I also (actually my friend) did a new logo, but will still looking for better one.
To be honest, the logo was redesigned, but my photoshop skills are not so good, if anyone has a better idea i'll appreciate it.
