I added my URL quite a while ago, but no joy.

    Follow these guidlines.
    1. Submit your site to
    Google - http://www.google.com/addurl/
    Yahoo - http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
    MSN - http://search.live.com/docs/submit.aspx
    2. Register in
    Google Webmasters tools- http://www.google.com/webmasters/
    Yahoo site explorer - https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/
    Live Webmasters Center - http://webmaster.live.com/
    3. Wait for few weeks.
    4. The more backlinks to your site you get, the faster search engines will crawl your site.

Well.. It depends on the seo you do. If you optimise your site well and do the basic seo things like submitting to social bookmarking sites like digg, it won't take no longer than a day to index your site.

LMAO! a few weeks..? are we in the '90s or something?

Generate some backlinks from authority sites & do some social bookmarking and you will be indexed in no time.

It varies from website to website on how long it will take to be indexed. Using a submission service is not always the best way to get indexed as that is a method that is not needed any more as it was in the early days of search engines.

Build some quality backlinks to your website and submit it to some social bookmarking websites and your site will become indexed.

Good and easy way is to get some backlinks on sites that are crawled frequently. If you are linked by others, google will add you soon even if you didn't submit yourself on google.com or with submitter.

My websites are usually indexed somewhere between 24 and 48 hours. If you are looking to get in build some backlinks from quality relevant websites, submit to Google, Yahoo, and MSN using their forms, and create a XML and txt sitemap.

Create an XML sitemap, submit it, wait. If it's a new site it can take a few weeks though - even if the site gets spidered immediately. New pages of existing sites can be up within 30 minutes if you ping Google.
