I am currently a PR2 on my site, it is about tornado and weather links. So my question is - If i add lower PR sites to my site, will this effect my PR? Example: I am PR2 and i am adding a PR0 site, will it effect my PR?
pr is additive, so if you add any link (except the ones not indexed by google), then your real pr goes up; I say real, as toolbar pr only changes a few times a year. if you want to go from pr2 to pr3 you would need 100's or 1000's of pr0 or pr1 links, but just one pr5 links (other factors matter too). so either tons of small or a few big ones, or anything in between,
I am adding their links to my site, but they aren't adding my link to theirs. Will it make mine go up? poker - thnx
no you only increase your pr by getting backlinks not by giving external links i am sorry. otherwise we will all be pr10, lol.
It's depend on site.. if site is good and has quality content then PR doesn't matter... i don't think that there is any effect on page rank.... Cheers!
thnx i have www.tornadolinks.com and i add links onto my site. it started off as a personal page with all my links on there i use when i go storm chasing. that way i didnt have to keep searching the web, and i had it all on one site. but it quickly took off lol. i dont plan on selling it, so i dont think PR would matter, but thought i'd ask thnx again
I remember when I got to Pr5. I couldn't believe it, mainly because I never did any link building, lol. It just happens, give it time.
If you add hundreds of PR0 to your site, you can get higher PR, though nobody can tell exactly how many will be required to get a better PR.
Well you shouldn't ignore websites which currently have no page rank because in time they will develop their page rank and more credit will get passed on, However if you want quicker results you should try to get backlinks from pages with atleast a pr3 website with anchor text.
Technically, your PR will drop if you do that. But, if you manage to get a PR3/4 backlink to you, then it might balance it up again. When it comes to PR, try to keep positive balance of incoming dofollow links pointing to your blog. My suggestion is to concentrate on higher PR backlinks.
I there are no problem regards with PR0 because eventually PR0 will have PR after 3-4 months but the question is do you like to wait for 3-4 months or choose a quality high PR site which will give your site a high quality IBL
Its gud to add more links to your site, no matter if its lower pr. that will boost up your rankings but we should always try to get links from higher pr.
if you add their link on your site then you are giving your pr to another sites.. so use no follow attributes when you are adding external link on your site.
