Just recently, I received an email from one of my blog readers saying: "Hello there. PLease visit my site and click on my ads or else I will click your ads 100 times you will be banned from google adsense! Do this just one click on my google ads ok? This is my address: http://easemystress.blogspot.com/ DO IT FAGGOT b wetrwer" the IP add is 170.65.218.6 As I did some IP ad lookup, the number is from the US. I understand that you are a fellow pinoy and may even be based here in the Philippines. Though I wanted to overlook that comment i mentioned above, i happened to bump into your comment posted at macuha.com. Curiosity led me to your blog and so i read some entries. Though I am not accusing you of anything, two possibilities popped up in my mind. 1) you actually did it, or 2) someone out there is envious of your blog and wanted you to get you banned. You got some pretty high traffic in there. I just raised this concern so that you too will be aware." This is very rampant now a days. Some people tend to be envious when a blog gets too much traffic. What I did was to report it to Google. Although, I have not received any response from them yet. I'm happy I did not get banned.
That stuff is very common. Best to not reply at all IMO, or send them some kinda fake webmail bounced thing if you're in a fun mood.
wtf? Wow, that is insane. I haven't seen this yet on any of my publications, although I admit-- I'd kind of like to for the laugh alone. Can't believe people are actually trying that...
Good idea. Although you feel like telling the lil **** where to go, it would be best to just ignore and report it to Google straight away.
Google has a better system now for click fraud then in past. I just wouldn't respond to those and keep it moving. It is probably some 10yr old with a blogspot website hoping to make $100 before he gets banned. If you really feel like being a d*ck you could take his email and find his adsense publisher ID on his website then send it to Google to report him.
Actually, I am the owner of the blog. Somebody, pretending to be me, is trying to destroy my reputation and get my blog banned.
