In addition to vBulletin, two other options worth considering are:
    • phpBB - http://www.phpbb.com
    • YaBB - http://www.yabbforum.com

Yes, both YaBB and phpBB are free and you can review the licensing details on the respective websites. phpBB is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL), while YaBB is released under the YaBB Public License (a modified version of GPL).

MyBB is also worth looking at - http://www.mybboard.net/
Out of all the free forum software, I think MyBB has the nicest admin interface.

There's also SMF which is pretty good too - http://www.simplemachines.org/

Download them all (MyBB, phpBB, YaBB, SMF), install them to your site (or locally) and play around with them.

You can install your forum anywhere -
    domain.com
    domain.com/forum
    forum.domain.com
    etc.

    :)

Another question is I didn't purchase any web hosting services like what I said I'm just using google application.. I only have domain name.. How will I able to put the files? Are there any free web hosting company that I can upload it, I'll just use domain mapping to point it in my website...Anyone?

You'll only limit yourself using free hosting. You can get super cheap hosting for a few dollars a month - it's totally worth it.

And yes, there are heaps of ad plugins/mods for MyBB, so you can rotate ads, run AdSense, whatever :)

It depends on who you go with. Check out HostGator, FatCow (*sig link*), GoDaddy etc.

Personally, I pay a lot for hosting, but I'm a reseller - so I get it all back from my clients.
