How to find backlinks for a blog

    I need to find number of back links to my blog. Are there tools for that.

    goto news.google.com then put your domain name in. then after teh results pop up you can pick the rss link

    I find that does not always work well though, either the results are delayed (ie.not showing the latest backlinks for weeks) or alot of backlinks never show up. Does this happen to anyone else?

    You should be using your google webmaster tools as well. They show you loads of useful info.

    Google provide efficient operator. write link : your site.com in Google search engine it will find out your back links .. best luck buddy

    zam23, superlyrics gave you the right instruction, the most reliable free way is to go to yahoo and type in search: link:www.yoursite.com, where yousite.come should be replced with address if your website.

    As I said, out of all free services, Yahoo gives the most accurate number, but not all of your BLs. Google strongly underestimates them, so link in Google is no good. If you want all backlinks - you need a good SEO software. PM me, if you need to find out more about that.

    I prefer a addon which a friend suggested me for firefox - SEOQuake. which displays, pr, links, indexed pages , alexa internal and external links, etc...
