Will my landing page do? Feedback

    Hi guys,
I have just done a complete redesign of my landing page promoting Xbox 360 repair guides. My first page was really complex (i spent 2 weeks creating it, to delete it in the end:() and it didnt convert. So I tried to take it from the opposite direction and i have designed a short and clean 1-page landing page. I have read that google doesnt like one page landing sites and that it will "slap" me :) but so far my quality score is high 7-8/10 and i my PPC actually went down. Will see how to develops over time though.
But back to my landing page. I am still a beginner and i cannot yet distinguish between a good and a bad landing page. I dont even roughly know if my landing page sucks completely or if its ok  Therefore i ask you guys for some feedback. I will also be very thankful for any sugestions or tips ;)

    my website: www.myxboxfix.com

It's decent looking. One thing you should do is change your hop links to a redirect from your website, so instead of it being to "xxx.xxx.clickbank.com" it will go to "myxboxfix.com/xxxx/" and redirect from there.

the layout looks pretty good, but i don't like how you have the prices listed. i wouldn't buy from the site just because the prices look weird. Price: Currently ONLY 29,99$ !. change it to $29.99

Seeing as I have a landing page in this niche as well (have a look in my sig), I'll give you a few tips I've learn't from domainiac's landing page guide:

    - Remember you're pre-selling the customer, so you should only list the benefits of the product, 4 max.
    - You have the wrong product image for your 2nd choice (i should know, i promote it as my top pick lol)
    - The prices still aren't updated correctly ($29.99 instead of 29.99$ etc), and I would recommend not including them being that you are pre-selling, and not selling them the product
    - To create a landing page website that google asks you to do, all you need is a About Us, Privacy Policy & Contact Us pages, just so you can make the site look legit, and if anyone has any issues trying to buy any of the products they may contact you directly with any issues.

Thats all I can advise at the moment, and goin on the last point above which I will be adding to my sites soon enough, it doesn't take much effort and you will look even better in google's 'eyes' and hopefully they'll lower your CPC etc.

    Hope this helps :) Luke

One thing I use is SHORTY its like tinyurl, but you set it up on your own domain, have a private login and create links such as yourdomain.com/whateveryouwant instead of your affiliate link. Makes it easy to use and you can track clicks by "whateveryouwant" so you dont have to rely solely on clickbank.

    Check it out.

The only thing really throwing it off to me is the header. It is not very good. I would try and do something a little more dynamic. Also, You need to have a "Buy" button right next to, or below the prices, and again just after the review of the product.
There is not one place on your site where you giving a call to action...to buy the product.

I would also give one more "Order Your Repair kit Today !" button at the bottom of the page, don't let the sales page end like that

I would also change "Dear Visitor" to "Dear Hard Core Gamer" or "Welcome Pissed Off Gamer"...., "if you are here, you are one of thousands of Die hard Xbox'ers that have found...The Ring Of Death...Luckily for you we have the fix......and we'll have you stomping the dog crap out of radioactive zombies in no time !"or something like that. You are not talking to grandmothers here, you are talking to desperate gamers who want their sh*t to work...NOW !

Throw in an action screenshot of a hot game to remind them what they are missing... to really make them salivate about getting their system back

Your page has no attitude and you are not asking for the sale, you are hoping that they want to buy...Big difference.

Better header..use colors, maybe even show an XBOX
Ask for the sale, put "buy" buttons by the price !

Sort out your website header. Get an image if you can, but if not just change the text. You don't need your website domain name in the header... you just need to tell them what's what.

"Fix Your Red Ring Of Death In Under 1 Hour"
Best And Cheapest Xbox 360 Repair Guides Reviewed Below

Change the headers on your products to "WINNER", "#2 Place", "#3rd Place". Using the word "product" is a bit weird.. it's our technical term for what a customer would see as a book, ebook, guide or manual. There's no need to remind them that it's a product and they'll have to pay - remember, people hate being sold to, but love to buy as long as they feel like they've made the decision to buy by themselves.

Break that top section up into 2-3 paragraphs. It's a heck of a chunk of text. It only needs to be short, and straight to the point. If a visitor has ended up on your page, they know why they're there and they probably have a good idea of what your website is for. Don't waste time blathering on about it - just bang in a couple of sentences of exciting copy to get their blood flowing, and move on to the recommendations.

Similarly for your product "Overviews". Break up that text, and include some bullet point highlights. Also include common comparison features like price, ease of use, quality, time taken etc. See this site:

    http://www.top10-broadband.co.uk/packages/

Don't copy the layout (yours is fine), but you can see how quick and easy it is to tell the difference between the things being compared? Yours should be like that too... but obviously you don't really care which one they buy, so the values of the properties being compared will be somewhat made up.. but that's OK. As long as it's your opinion about the products, it's fine.

    Have bigger links to "BUY"!

Have a link at the top and bottom of the page to buy your top pick. Emphasize it's your "TOP PICK!". This is the best guide that you recommend for fixing their problem in lightning fast time, so let them know it.

Consider including some sort of star rating. Lots of review sites do it. You could even give the top product an award that you've made up.

Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot. Make a few versions of the page based on the feedback you've been given here. I'd say 3-4 would be fine. Then split test them using Google's Website Optimizer. Once you've found the winner (track bounce rate via Google Analytics, and use ClickBank's TID tracking to separate sales from each page - eg, first page would have links with "?TID=PAGE1", second page would have links with "?TID=PAGE2" etc, and then in CB you can see which page made which sales), you can get onto split testing individual page elements within that page to continue boosting CTR and %rate.

    Yeah, that's better than yesterday.
Why didn't you build this website on Joomla?
In Joomla you can simply cloak your clickbank urls in www.myxboxfix.com/ebook1

Thank you so much for support guys. I am so happy i found this forum. You all share your own tricks and secrets with everyone which is very admirable and there arent many forums like this about affiliate marketing. I applied most of your tips to my website today and I admit it looks much better now. I will add the rest of your tips tomorrow and i am hoping for my first clickbank sale :)

Nice header ;) (just noticed, it's repeating slightly beacuse you've got it as a background image. Just stick is as an IMG tag inside the table cell.

Don't forget to update the prices - $xx.xx, NOT xx,xx$ (use a full stop, not a comma, and move the dollar sign to the front).

So many forums are a waste of time because nobody will say anything for fear of being copied or losing out in some way. But we can all work together to share what we know and make DP the best free forum on the planet.

I like the banner and the way your pre-sell starts off "Dear Pissed-off Gamer", but the way you have a right aligned picture, then a left aligned picture, and then a center aligned picture with fonts left and right that don't line up with one another at all is very displeasing to me. This might just be me, but I feel like there would be a much more organized feel to your site if you gave your images a somewhat similar size/alignment and kept the text in a consistent spot on your images (i.e. right aligned on both images, center aligned on both images, or left aligned on both images). Again, this could just be personal taste, but the better organized your site is, the less chance your visitors will bounce.

Hope this helped:) Best of luck to you.
