Chocolate desert PHP web site - must sell! 'short domain'

I am selling Chocolate Haven to help pay the hosting costs of my other sites

Chocolate Haven, is a chocolate desert recipe web site where users can find great recipes and share them with others for free.
It is PHP & MySQL driven with an easy to use admin panel.

Domain is super short t--e.org registered with godaddy untill 3/14/2007 and probally worth alot on its own, no transfer fees and will push to a godaddy account for free.

Currently between 30 & 45 Uniques per month over the last 3 months but needs some major promotion

Will try to sell it as an auction & start with an opening bid of $10.00 and end it in 48 hours

Is there any way to quickly switch off the requirement for people to login before they can view the recipes?

 

No I don't think it is possible, I had this script for a jokes site before !

 

Anyone else come to this thread expecting to find a large expanse of sand covered in Dairy Milk?

I actually did not code the PHP for the site, I am not a programmer so not very good at strting from scratch, but I am pretty good at editing and customizing. I bought that off ebay (so perhaps it was a joke script before, I dont know) and then I customized it slightly with my own graphics and adsense code etc.

However I just tinkered with the code on a few pages and yes it is possible to allow everybody to view the recipes without resitering. (I also put the code back the way it was after testing it, so iyou will have to take my word about it or let me know when you are online and I will change it again). Therefore the new owner could change this on the site if they wished.

However there is a security issue to your database then as you will then leave the site vunerable to those idiots whom will post anything because you wont have to sign in to post them either. I have had to remove a few sites that I bought that were not designed to prevent spam and internet crap.

But that is not areal problem, because I think as a work around that would allow you to still do this and not get spammed like crazy. You could remove a few items from the site so users can not post anything to the site and only the admin can post items from the admin panel. You could then have users submit thier recipe with the sontact form or an email. This would also work for you joke site script I would imagine.

There is potential here with this site for somebody.

 

I have a great Domain for this site too but I am not sure. I will think about it.

Lol, ya. Actually I was thinking more like a desert where the sand was really hot chocolate powder.

 

It is actually based on a Prozilla Recipe site. The backend is probably used for several purposes (referring to your joke site).

Any word on a BIN?
