I am using IE6 & your site has major browser compatibility issue. Your header is on left having 70% of my screen occupied while the main text is having 135% of my screen(horizontal scroll required) , right hand side ads are below your main text at bottom.

Ive only tested in IE7 as Ive not got IE6 so does it still happen in IE6?

 

I would like to comment on the designing and color combination.
1- I think header size is big (lot of empty space can be seen)
2- Title with good logo would be more effective
3- As per my opinion color combination of Dark green and light blue is not good.

The header is something that's staying as this site is kind of a sister site to another and I wanted it all to look the same.

Ive wanted a logo for ages but could never come up with one.

Dark green? There isnt any dark green on there...:|

 

The designed part background is white, but the base color is dark green. (I have checked in IE, Chrome and FF)

 

I think you should use different colors for the main content bg and the right bar content.
Also you shouldn't make a white line between the header and the Menu.

Light blue looks good.

 

The designs and colors are good but you need to add some more attractive features for your site. And decrease the search field looks too large, also the search option.

 

You should add a logo into the header.

 

You might want to get rid of the while line below your header, am using FF version: 2.0
However, the site design looks fine simple and clean... keep it up

 

my thots

1- the list of movies is hard to scan for 3 reasons
i- centered text is hard to re-adjust your eye to. So left justify the movie title list.
ii- the bold blue title make it hard to distinguish from each other - suggestion- go down a point size and still leave a little breathing room between title.
iii- Date of release- make a nice 80% gray - not the same blue. Easier to scan disparate data that way.

2- LOTS of wasted space in the header.
3- Buy a logo

I think it needs a little customization to the look. I has a template feel to it.

 

I personally think it looks simple and nice looking, but I would add more colors.
