Many say that keyword in domain name is not very important, infact they say it is negligible effect on SERPs. They always say backlinks are more important. Definitely, backlinks are more important, but let's put that aside first. What do you think? I honestly think that keyword in the domain name is very important.
Of course it is important Including keywords in your domain name helps a lot to increase your search engine ranking. Actually, you can even rank on that search term without optimizing for it.
Agree with JessieJames27 that having keywords in the domain helps a lot in optimization. In fact, I know this from my experience, especially if your domain is the exact keyword match of the phrase you try to rank for. And yet, I doubt that you can rank for it without doing any seo at all, unless we are talking about keywords with extremely low or no competition.
Yeah it's important. I recently registered a keyword domain and forgot about it and when I did remember about I checked and it was on Google's 2nd page at the time with absolutely no content, not even an index page. Eventually it was slipping down, but when I noticed it was at #14. Yup I'd say it's pretty important.
I would say extremely important, for instance you would not have a domain name if your site was related to dogs and your domain name was something like flybeast.com always have something related to your site.
Having keywords in your domain name not only helps you ranks, but should also help you get a better CTR to your website.
It's not that important for Google, and it's not even noticeable for competitive markets However, it will help your ranking a lot in both Yahoo and MSN/Live but not that much for Google. And to make it more clearer, it will help in Google.. Only because of people linking to your website using domain name as the anchor text of the links, and once again it's all about backlinks dude.
The market is so saturated...good luck trying to get the exact sitename of the phrase your trying to rank for. (assuming it is a keyphrase/word that actually generates traffic)
For me, domain gives the first impression on what keyword is used in our site or blog. If your site is just about one topic, then it's better to include the keyword, otherwise if your site covers a lot of topic, no specific keyword is necessary, but branding. For example, Squidoo.
its really important your doamin cover full keyword or partial keyword bcoz google recognize the same
itsa a lot important and if you are using a blogger blog then you shud see abt different tags on different posts hack at my blogger tricks site...... here www.blogsnbucks.blogspot.com
