Hi, I started with Clickbank three months ago and got some success. I only used all free methods like Squidoo, Article Marketing etc till now. Now I am planning to start a Website of my own and my question is should I start with highly competitive products like "Weight Loss" or "Forex" or should I stuck to small niches. I am thinking of competitive niche because I want to make a good website with lots of information, quality content and high level search engine optimization. So I think it is a better idea to start this all with a competitive niche for a long term benefit. What you all think about it? Let me know
If you want to make a good quality website and rank in search engines then invest your time on low competitive niches. See, Google and other search engines not give instant ranking though your site have the worlds best content on the topic. It takes time and it require patience. If its high competitive niche just check the age of top 20 ranking websites for your targeted keyword. You are smart enough to take decision after analyzing the results.
No. It'll generally take months before you see any effect from what you're doing in the search engines with those types of keywords. You're better off starting smaller, seeing what works quicker, and then moving on up when you think you can handle it & are patient enough to see results
Don't forget, we usually get seduced by the numbers in the highly competitive markets but in a lot of cases the smaller niches could actually make you more money. Take forex for example, yeah there are a lot of people searching "forex" but most are not serious. If you take a smaller niche in forex, this would most likely appeal to existing forex or educated forex people and you not only have a greater chance of them buying, but done correctly, they should spend a lot more too.
There are many sub niches within big niches. In particular Weight Loss has many sub niches that I know of such as "lose belly fat" and "lose thigh fat." With my weight loss product I am working on creating pre-landing pages for some of these sub niches like this http://www.thedayoffdiet.com/LoseBellyFat (affiliates can link to this page if they want.)
Normally I would say enter the more competitive niches. However, I was shocked when I saw an ebook selling "how to build a chicken coop" that had a gravity over 20.
That is amazing. I am also sometimes shocked at how big some of these markets are. But still, there's only so much money that someone is going to make in a niche like that. If you do manage to dominate a big niche then you can make a real fortune.
I prefer the less competitive niches. If you research and there is a demand you can completely dominate the market.
hi, you can choose those products with low gravity ranges from 40 to 90, they are less competitive and can be good niche for you.
I think it is better to go with competitive niche for a long term goal. But at the start you can target on less competitive phrases or promote less competitive niche related to main niche. For example you can start with weight loss related sites and continue to work on it. In the mean time you can make sections in this site that are less competitive such as a section on "lose thigh fat", "lose weight after pregnancy" etc and promote these sections as well.
