I have been trying to place comments on certain videos on youtube and leave my url in the comment but they are not being posted. Am I doing something wrong?
youtube looks at it as spam. plus you aren't going to get any SEO benefit from it because the links are nofollow. now they have the option where you can hide the person's comment and mark it as spam, so more than likely your comment won't even be on the page very long.
Youtube filters urls out of comments. Even if you try to hide the url by spelling it out - mysite dot com - it should get filtered out. The only way to send a URL to another youtube member is by private message.
is there any type os strategy that can be used that includes using the comment aspect of youtube to market your own site? maybe some type of html trick?
Youtubers aren't very spam tolerant. Even a comment that isn't spam can easily be marked as spam or marked down. They make it very easy for users to do so. Offer helpful info/advice and say you can be PMd for more info/a link. They also make it very easy to mark PMs as spam.
You mean you will find a way to spam. Everybody's rooting for you. I mean, the web sure need more of it
