The best is any JVC HD Video Camera. They come with a remote, so you can actually watch your videos on your TV and then take a snap shot with the remote... you will have some amazing pictures since you can freeze frame the BEST shot.

Well I am a big fan of Nikon so my recommendations will obviously point you to that direction...

here are the two models that I recommend:

Nikon D200
Nikon D80
