Will you get banned from Google after getting banned from Digg (et.al.)?

    I am just curious if you will be banned by Google if you get banned by Social Networking Sites such as Digg, Google, Noddit, Slashdot, etc.

    Do these site report to Google?

    Social bookmarking sites are not related to Google as a company and being penalized in any won't be related to the other ones ;)

    My problem is that I got banned from Digg, and now de-indexed in Google. Is it just a coincidence?

    hm.. May be your site or blog is not getting enough backlinks.. which you used to get via digg ! You must concentrate on other social sites like Reddit which can help you a lot... Getting backlinks is very Important for Builting up your Ranking in Google...

    If you've been banned from Digg, that means nothing in relation to Google. However, if you've been banned from social media websites like digg, reddit, stumble, mixx and others-- your behavior is likely to piss off google at some point. Spamming social media is akin to eventually spamming google, none of which will earn you meaningful traffic on which to grow a profitable website.
