How can an RSS Feed help my SEO***

I run a forum,
http://www.weedguru.com/forum/index.php
and have recently installed an RSS Modification which allows a RSS Feed from the main index, or any threads on the forums. How can I use this RSS Feed to aid my SEO routine*** Do I need to submit it to RSS Feed directories***

yes, it is advisable to post your rss feed to leading rss directories...it will help to get more visitors to your website. If people will like your updated post, they can subscribe to your feed and become regular reader...this will help you to get group of readers for your forums.

 

Are there any lists of the best free to submit to RSS Feed directories on here at DP***

 

The phpbb RSS MOD i installed gives me feeds like this:

Can I submit that URL to feed directories* or does it need to be an .xml file*

You can also open accounts at RSS aggregator sites and list your feeds there. google rss aggregators and you'll find a number of good ones.

Interesting post. I've never come across RSS aggregator sites - am going to do some more investigation as it sounds like a pretty nice way to boost traffic

Are there crawlers which seek out RSS feeds, like google crawler seeks out normal pages**** I used RSS submit to submit a few forum feeds..but still I am unsure whether I need to submit RSS feeds for each forum****
