To promote over social sites, you have to setup an account there. Then you have to invite the persons to join your group. then you can share your websites, promotional news, articles etc with them. To get the maximum exposure, you are supposed to keep expanding your network...
yes, social bookmark website is a good place for you to promote your products. But it will take you much time to build a group where people have the similar topics to talk about. If you are not an active men, and do not have much time, and I think this kind of way do not workable for you.
