is it worth the time to add comments on blogs? do i got backlinks from there? if it works, that would be faster than just wait for lauzy webmasters for months at directories, right?...thanks!
If you put some effort into it and write comments related to the article you are commenting on it is well worth it. If not, then no it isn't worth it.
Links from blog comments is considered valuable, provided the blog is relevant to the link target page. Problem is finding blogs these days that allow free comments. Even if they do allow comments, they can be moderated out if they look like spam to the moderator. So you have to be relevant, and your comment must look like a genuine comment.
I can say yes! I can get an average of about 12-15 high PR dofollow backlinks/hour (in my niche) using my search engine. That's by hand! Very tried and true.
Yes it is still a great way to produce link juice. But the point is that its too dificult to find dofollow blogs that auto approves comments.
If you write good, relevant comments the blog owner will approve them. No need for automatic approval. Most blogs will stop moderating your comments if you show you can make good ones two or three times.
If you are commenting on these blogs ONLY for backlinks, it's just a free (but time consuming) method of building backlinks. However, if your comments are good, you win a 'fan' in blog owner. Also, you may indulge in healthy discussion on the blog and draw some visitors from there. I have often done guest posts on blogs that I subscribe and comment on blogposts regularly.
I stopped doing blog comments due to the following reason. I explained everything here.. http://radenpayas.com/2009/03/08/blog-commenting-service-no-longer-offered/ Having your link inside the article than the blog comments is 10 times better so blogs reviews are the best... blog comments least effective..
thank you, it is good and working instantly, but takes time to find niche follow blogs without moderator ...i wote for articles and "live" directories...
3-5 years ago it had affect, but now it doesn't have big effect due to mass comments spam, akismet and nofollow
If you can find quality do-follow blogs, with good page rank, obtaining links via comments can have a quick impact on SERP placement. I've been having great luck posting on niche blogs recently, and like some have said, with quality comments come traffic and open discussions. Giving your $0.02 in blogs and other open forums (assuming the information you give is good) will help you appear as an expert in your niche.
socialhuman is on target. For right now, do follow comments on blog posts that in some way relate to your linking site are valuable. Will they be in the future? Probably not. Most SEO experts estimate that Google will (or has already started) to devalue these types of links.
You should leave 5-10 comments at a good do-follow blog. Don't spam, don't put your link in comment. Most of blogs have this form: Name: (here you should put something like;for a football videos site you should put FootballManiac as name. Mail: Dosn't matters. Website: (your website link) Comment: (something relevant, not spam and no links because akismet will block them) Good luck with blog commenting!
Blog comments, even if they're nofollow, are still a great way to drive traffic to a site. But if you can find dofollow blogs related to your niche, that would be even better.
