Advertising in forums

Though many believe that advertising in forums are not so effective way of promotion, I don't feel the same... Most of my traffic and backlinks are coming from forums and I still think they are very effective... especially forums with high PR and dofollow...

Thus, I compiled my own useful lists of free advertising forums for everyone's use..

 

I agree that Forums are effective for site promotion. Most of my backlinks come from Forums, so I am with you on this. I get a good amount of clicks from my signature links, as well. Also, thanks for the Forum list.

Thanks for the list. I also find the forums that allow you to place a flash banner in your footer drive the best traffic to your website - they are AWLAYS seen!

 

Posting in forums is better than blog commenting... most bloggers now are lazy to update their blogs and approve our comments...

 

Forums are good for advertising as long as you build up a good reputation first and not just spam it with ads

 

Forums which are closely related to your niche will help a lot and Grouse is right about the reputation strategy.

 

yeah, making good reputation takes some time then you can place your Ads there !

Forum is one of the way to get short term traffic, you will get traffic only if you are active.
Anyway, it will be better if you can add some ranking on the lists
