Maybe it was someone else who posted about the DMOZ listing, but if those emails posted are genuine, you agreed to sell it to the original owner for $500 as long as he provided some information - which he did. You then decided to bump the price up to $1,500. You apparently entered into a verbal/ and or written contract to sell the domain back for $500 - then backed out and asked for more money. That tells me you can't be trusted.

No one is saying the new owner should not profit from this mistake, simply that an honest person would keep their word and sell it to the original owner.

    enough said.

Ahh, nobility does have a price. I'm not sure about the pig thing, but if we met, I would certainly trade your ass for the first $20 to come along once I punked you on the street corner.

I agree that the original domain owner made things worst, he should of just contacted the new owner and gotten things resolved quickly and peacefully.

Why don't they work out some link deal. E.g. The new owner still retains the domain name but repoint the domain back to the old owners DNS and let him keep his site, but he must have ad sponsered links on that site for a period of 12 months, after 6 months the domain is bought back at a discount from the new owner.

    From post:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1073741&postcount=35

    "Here is my email transcript:
The reason for my delay in getting back with you is due to the fact that I have been carefully contemplating what I am going to do with this domain. During the course of our email correspondence, I have had 3 offers to purchase this domain with the best offer standing at $2,000.

Honestly, I believe it to be worth even more than that - I think you and I both know this. Although I can sympathize with you and your current situation, with all due respect, this is in fact about business. I am in business for the same reason as you and every other business owner - to make a profit. After careful consideration, I have decided not to sell the domain back to you for $500. It just doesn't make good business sense. It isn't fair that I should have to lose a substantial amount of my own money because of someone else's error/mistake."

    The NEXT day you posted:

"Caveman has the current high bid of $750"

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1075421&postcount=47

So why did you say you had three higher offers (high of $2,000) and then come back and say the high bid was $750?

You agreed to sell for $500 - posted "Auction over" and didn't. Then you claim high bid of $2,000 then the next day it is $750? And we are supposed to believe there is a $2,500 bid now? LOL

That is a good question. Going back and reviewing the facts.. Why did you not sell him his domain back for $500.00 after he provided the information you wanted?

You made the offer. Whether you felt pressured to do it or not is not really relevant. It seems an agreement was struck and you backed out.

I am going to sum up my feelings for this whole thing very simply.

    You both suck.

Probably because he didn't receive ANY offers and wanted to try and get the most he could out of Brady.

It is a shame people like this still exist.

Brady, It seems like you've had a string of bad luck over the years (The Mid-Atlantic Disaster) when it comes to money. However, It was good that you tried to finance your own major pool tournament at age 25. I hope things turn around for you.

I'm suprised shoemoney would actually bid on this. He's got to be at least a millionaire by now, I would think that a site like this would be more trouble than it is worth to a guy like him.
