One way to advertise your eBook is to make another copy and offer it as Free edition. In that copy you let people view some chapters for free and ask them to buy the full version of the book.
Exactly .Make them feel that they are losing out on something .They will purchase your ebook if you create a buzz about your book on various forums .
Contact someone established who has a similar (non-competing) product and propose a joint venture with them where they promote your book to their list of subscribers in return for a cut of the profits and then you can make your money on the backend profits.
