    i know what he said. its still a very self serving comment and the difference between the two is minor, considering it had been around (as someone else posted) for the military and for medical research decades before he invented it. either or, it wasn't a serious comment - just trying to make the point that you won't be getting a domain before 1990 for this little cash.

    i don't think anyone who still has a domain from 1990's would want to sell because by now it would probably be a huge site or worth much more the $75,000

    The highest I would go for this a domain registered back then would be $250,000, more then that isn't worth it.

    I had friends with modems in the mid 80's, but never heard about domain names, etc until the mid 90's

    I will say I had no idea there were domain names bought in the mid 80's, that just seems unreal.
