There's an easy way to fix this: start clicking on your own ads. Don't do it too much or Google will figure it out. Just a few times a day.

Google checks IPs, IP ranges, cookies, useragents and much more information about the clicks once you request payout. If you click your own ads, no matter how little times you've done it you'll get caught.

yup, since the economy has been so bad less people are advertising.

its cut backs on everything so this could be the biggest reason why clicks are so low.

Don't listen to the guy that said click on your own adds. Hopefully he was just joking. Seriously...
Google will not count clicks from your IP. They will not be counted instantly. If you do it too many times you will get banned. You will get away with a couple (unpaid) because google understands that accidental clicks happen but if there are a lot they will ban you.

I think they would find out. It is easy to check ip addresses and so many people have downloaded the googlebar also. All in all, my revenue is down by half since last summer with the same traffic and same sites

I think that the low valued clicks are consequence of spam sites such as MFA. These days everybody wants to be a webmaster and with the easy to use softwares that are freelly available and articles already written the site can be created in 5 minutes.

Nothing is easier than create 30 blogs and buy 100 articles and use MFA wordpress themes, but the value of really quality blogs are loosing their weight.

Ever wonder why Google would pay high on web properties they already own?

Adsense is the program for publishers to place Adwords Ads on the websites they own.

Google does not own these properties.

    ;)
    To the OP

    1. You dont need to make the thread look like junk posting in a bold font that is obnoxious.

    2. You have likely been smartpriced Try improving your site or if it is a crowded niche find something to replace Adsense Ads.

Haha, yeah I am pretty sure that guy was being sarcastic. What you really need to do is get on several proxies a day and then click your own ads!

What is the point of using big size fonts ? anyway if adsense is not working for you, you can always use other programs or find better ways of monetization

Many companies and online businesses these days cut down their expenses on online advertising, that's the reason why.

In fact, a part of each advertising income is retained by google.

Google may increase its own part of the income so that the revenue of the webmaster may decline despite unchanged advertising budgets and unchanged quantity of clicks.
