    Just a thought...

I've been wondering if some of the PR drop some people are seeing from different datacenters is because Google has figured out some of the online tools that track multiple datacenters and is intentionally "breaking" some of them?

What better way to reduce the usability of these tools than to feed them bogus data?

Well in that case it should be equal to every site checked.
Thats not happening, only for a few sites google is reporting 0 PR on some DCs.
and I am sure different checking tools are using different methods to check the PR, but results are same.

Oh, I don't know it would all depend on how evil Google wanted to be in regards to screwing with SEOs' heads.:p

Uhhh... does that mean you are seeing something?

I'm was thinking of dropping a suggestion to the Google team that the day before the next PR update (not this one, too late and they'd need to plan it) that they change the checksum used to display PR. :D

It would get cracked again, of course, but it usually takes a couple of weeks for someone to figure it out, then post the formula, and then another couple for it to be widely known. Can you imagine an update going on without being able to query the DC's???

ahhh.... but the PR request is coming from a specific url. G only needs to check the referrer to determine what to return, exactly the same way cloaking works.

I don't think they're doing it, but it is clearly possible.

Well you didnt get the point, they were doing it then you'd have got bogus results for all the url you put to query, but this is not happening, there are some site with movement but many sites are not moving at all. so this is for real just not some bogus data..

Has anyone with UK domains seen any change yet?

I know we usually seem to get done last, but I don't even see a Backlink update for any of my sites yet :-(
