Hello, I currently have had 1 dispute and 1 bank reversal on my paypal account. The first was for an item sold on ebay in december, it was $1.75, anyhow the person said the item didn't arrive, and since I didn't want to have any problems, I just refunded the money. The second one was 4 days ago, and it was around after 2 weeks that I did work for a guy here to write an article, and he just reversed the payment and took back the money. My question is, does this look like too many disputes for my account? I've had a total of around 60 transactions btw.
the problem is not that how many disputes u have ... the main matter of concern that how soon you sort out ur disputes
I think 2 out of 60 transactions are disputes is not too much, try your best to keep it to 1 out of 60 if possible, for the ebay auction, if you can show proof of sending the item, you can show that to PayPal and also informed ebay of the reversed payment from such buyer.
PayPal has not stated clearly the percent of chargeback reversal. From my experience PayPal tolerates a high percentage of chargeback. It seems that for PayPal the most important factor is the merchant to take reliability and fund the moneyback when chargeback is filed. I read posts people saying there account is still fine with paypal while there account has in the order of 30 percent chargeback.
