Does a domain need to be registered any certain length of time before you can sell it? Thanks.

You can sell it as soon as you register it. BUT.....
You cannot sell it to someone with an account at another registrar within 60 days (ie cannot move it from your Godaddy account to the buyer's Dotster account)
Within the 60 days you can only sell it someone with an account at your registrar (ie: move it from your Godaddy account to the buyer's Godaddy account)

When selling length has nothing do with length of the domain.

Each registrar handles it differently, you need to check with your reg.

A domain can be registered for a min of 1 year and max of 10 years depending of the TLD/ccTLD.

Once a domain is registered, you cannot transfer it for a min of 60 days. Also, some registrars prohibit transferring a domain for another 60 days even if you modify your registrant details.

However if your registrar supports "Change of Account" feature like we do, you can move the domain to a different user for which there is no transfer cost.

    Hope that helps you friend.

You can sell it as soon as you register it and when you get a good deal. However, the transfer will happen only after 60 days.
