I want to convert Word Documents into HTML that will post on Craigslist and view properly. In my post I will have pictures and a link to YouTube videos. Just so you know, I am an old guy with no programing experience at all but I am not a total dummy
Save the word document as "Save as web page" & than you can see your html files where you have saved.
I wouldn't even try to use Word for html. Word puts a lot of funky stuff in there. What you can do is download kompozer. It is a free WYSIWYG html editor. Then copy the text from your word doc, and paste it into Notepad. Then copy the Notepad text and paste that into kompozer. Then click on the "Source" tab on the bottom of the kompozer window and you will see all of the html. The reason you copy and paste from Notepad is because that will get rid of Words funky characters good luck, Zeek
Word doesn't save documents to web very well. As an old programmer, it shouldn't take long to pick up HTML. If not use a web builder as stated above like dreamweaver/wysiwig Microsoft Front Page, that will be your best option if you knowledge of web development isn't upto scratch. It allows you to publish pages to the web with ease, also with you looking to publish something from Word, it may be more compatable. Good luck!
Attach the ord document in email in GMAIL. send it to yourself open the mail and you should see the option OPEN AS HTML click on it you have your page
