World cup 2006 favourite ?

I’m not saying that English fans are the worst but you have to understand that local authorities never let the bad apples travel. English hooligans never left England and that’s why so few have been apprehended.

 

The problem for the US team is that at home not as many people are excited over the sport as in other countries. The motivation factor may not be as high as for others. Everywhere in the world the national soccer players are treated like Gods ... the US players are somewhat known at home, but the average non American knows prolly more about the US soccer team than the average American.

 

Exactly, we actually do something about hooligans, unlike most other countries.

 

I agree 100%, England is very organised in this type of thing. The only problem is that what is accepted or deemed as normal in England is not so in other European countries. That’s why a lot of times other European authorities exaggerate when apprehending English fans.

I don't think it's going to be as easy as that for them. There's a lot of good teams they'll have to beat. At the moment it's anybodys shout.

 

can't wait any longer for the Germany vs Argentina quarters to begin...its gonna be an amazing match...and yeah even france has the capability to upset brazil

Deutschland will lose today. The fans will go nuts and try to kill some Italian fans. The german cops will stand there and laugh ... but the United Nations will come in and rescue everyone. After than Germany will become a British Colony. That is my prediction for today. And oh yeah: 3 - 2 Italy.

 

really disappointing to see germany out of the competition...its gng to be a lame final...Italy Vs France....assuming there are no further upsets and France is able to overcome Portugal in the semis

Germany vs third placed team will be a good match to watch..Both the teams have nothing to lose and will play attacking football....

 

To bear fair Italy played fantastically well. If they play like that and France as well as they did against Brazil then it's going to be one of the best finals in living memory.

 

I take it from this Italy beating Germany was an upset? The Italians kicked the Germans butt a few months back aswell.

 

Agree, to be honest it was a bit of an upset Germany getting as far as they did. I think home advantage had something to do with that.

 

It was a great semi btwn France and Portugal...The portugese gave the french a good run for their money...I think its going to be an interesting final if italy can show the performance it did against germany...i am still biased towars france...i gove a 70:30 chance to france

 

that and a good coach, the players themselves are not that talented IMO.

Italy certainly are getting most of the votes, and the first goal made by Italy in the semifinals against Germany was simply one of the best ever seen..How many of you agrees with this...
