I am looking for a free traffic analysis software that can open and analyze .log (raw access files) downloaded from my server. I Hope someone has a nice suggestion. Thanks
well in that case use the awstats of your server. i don't think that there is any software that can analyze your raw log files. however, i would recommend the use of GA and Woopra together
manish.chauhan as far as search engines and traffic analysis is concerned... log files on a server have been known to store analysis of traffic per domain....... the reason I use that stat counter to do all my reap readings in traffic analysis is because it's free.... I don't have my own server ... manish.chauhan's I would truly appreciate if you stop following me on different threads I'm amused by your comments but it could be a little bit more SEO friendly.... I'm sure everyone here at Digital point forums could use SeO friendly conversation...
Aaron, I agree with you that conversation should be SEO friendly. But the reason I followed your comment, is that it is nowhere related to the main question asked by thread opener and you can not misguide peoples for just increasing your post numbers as you better know that you can not analyze the log files using statcounter...I hope you won't take it personally..
so there you have it manish.chauhanas most agree on the simplicity of search engine optimization there is no argument anywhere just simply trying to find ways to better search engine optimization for everyone else that posts here daily.... as far as log files and tracking traffic is concerned... for competitors it would seem quite obvious that using traffic analysis tools from a free SeO company is highly recommended ... I don't think it's legal to track your competitors traffic on...... Although I've seen others use these tactics .... I honestly believe that by tracking your competitors keywords you would benefit highly... rather than tracking your competitors traffic... I certainly hope this is SeO friendly for all the digital point viewers...... To get traffic analysis tools is quite simple there are many tools out there to track your competitors keywords and see what keywords they are using to get top ranks................... not waste time tracking my competitors traffic for many reasons number one is totally illegal number two it could be a waste of time number three working on search engine optimization to build the structure of your webpages will be a better pass... to increase your return on investment it would seem a likely story that people would see your products and service more often if you concentrated only on your campaign.. best of which is search engine optimization..........
Aaron, you are derailing the main topic of conversation. I really don't know what you want to make me understand in your last post. I did not make any comment in this thread about competitors traffic analysis or legal issues associated with it. Did I? My concern was simple and straight that you should not post anything in your comments just for numbers sake, You should check the authority and credibility of your statements before posting it here as most of newbies visit this forum to learn online marketing techniques.
