Maintenance or why is it taking forever for PM's to load!?

I regularly visit this forum and send and recieve PMs very quickly. If you get one it pops up why your browsing the site. Though the last few days they are taking like 15-30minutes to do this. WHY!?

It is very frustrating for me when I'm trying to reply to PM's as my email tells me I've got a PM then I can't get it on here for like half an hour, whether I refresh or not! WHY!?

Is anyone else having this problem? Would really love this trouble shot ASAP! Thanks.

 

Worst part is having "you've got a pm" pop up every time you go to a new page because the database won't update as me having read it already.

 

And that's happening with me also. Its very annoying too. I think its looks like a server issue. It may be experiencing overload.

 

I'm having problems also, and would also agree it's an overload issue. DP needs to acknowledge the amount of people using the site at one time and fix the problem accordingly.
Don't get me wrong I am very appreciative of the fact DP exists, but come on DP please sort the problems out

 

Thanks guys for confriming it's also been happening to you as well! Lets my pyshco brain go back in its box! JK but again thanks for letting me know! I also think its an overload issue or server problem, as it's not been like this for me, EVER before.
I'd really appreciate hearing from an mod/op about this, just to see if they too are having a problem in their position, I imagine it would be a whole lot worse for them.

 

Experiencing difficulties with the PM system aswell:not marked as read,not being deleted,not showing up in the sent items folder etc.

 

The servers suck. They cannot deal with the load.

You'll need to get used to it.

 

Getting the same here, plus new threads of mine are also not showing up, just get a completely white page and no new thread showing up in the results.

So you make another new thread, thinking the last one made has been lost for good, and I guess if two appear at some point, one then get's given an infraction.

I've heard they love handing them out here.

It would be better if all of these problems were simply addressed, instead, one is afraid to bring up any problems to any mod, for fear of receiving an infraction, or worse, receiving an outright ban, as seems to be happening to hundreds of other members, even one's with thousands of posts to their names.

It's all most odd! Very strange way to run such a large and popular forum.

 

100% agree with you - today I had this problem twice .. I translate it as "go away" as I can't do anything if it pops out on every reload
