hey well i code all of my sites fully XHTML & CSS valid. and obviously use descriptions, keywords and stuff. But what's the next step to make my sites as best Seo as possible ??
Onpage seo is not as important as it once was. Most search engines primarily base rankings on quality of backlinks. So you'll want to start building backlinks to your website asap. Look into some of the link building strategies discussed on this forum. Ideally you would regularly build backlinks using several different techniques. Good luck.
Before you start the Off page optimization, Make sure every On page factor are done properly or not. Then start the Off page optimization like Link building.
On-page optimization: 1. Insert two rich keywords in the title, not exceeding 65 character. 2. Meta description should be precised having three to four keywords & not exceeding165 character. 3. Meta keywords should be about five to six separated by comma only. Please note only keywords in code is not enough, you must have to insert keywords in your content. Check the keyword density through webconfs site. Off-page Optimization: Submit articles, web directory submission, forum posting, use link strategies, social bookmarking Also validate your site by W3C validation.
Proceed to site analysis. Check if your tags are relevant to your content. Use the Meta Tag Analyzer by submitexpress.
Put Keyword in Page title, meta tag,mini headline and then 3 time through out your content. Then put in backlinks on your page. And try have keywords in your domain. Try that mate

Hi, Both on-page and off-page optimization are necessary for promoting a site... But make sure that the on-page stuff is done completely and in the best way then only off-page services can prove to be efficacious... regards sripat
