You need an FTP program to upload content to your domains

free and good FTP programs are:

    Windows:
FileZilla, it's not the absolute best I've ever used, but it's the best I've ever used for windows. there will also be plenty of videos online showing you how it works, which you may not be able to find for other ones.

    Linux:
gFTP: this uses the classic two-pane side-to-side file browsing which I ABSOLUTELY love, but isn't common anymore. This is a rock solid app and I've used it for years
    FileZilla: again, a great app

    Mac:
Cyberduck: This is the single best FTP app I've ever used, it's fast, smart and once you get the hang of it, it's totally painless to do your file transferring in. I can quickly load up Cyberduck and transfer files as easily as I would just move them into another folder on my computer.

I hope this helps, I'm positive Wikipedia has a thorough list of all FTP clients for all operating systems and sorted by licence (so you could see the free and open-source ones)

But these are, in my experience on all three operating systems, the best you can get, and these happen to be free too! Enjoy!

If you're using Windows, you should check out WinSCP. It supports FTP/FTPS, SSH, and SCP file transfers between hosts. It's also completely free software. Good luck :).

FYI the "Free" hosting account you get is loaded with ads. That's why it's free. They're making money off your advertising... I just went through this with one of my clients recently. You can get hosting everywhere... I've seen it as low as $10.00 a year.

There are many options for webhosting without the adverts also. Do a google search for free hosting without ads.

It's not likely you'll find a company to host your website for free without ads... but I wouldn't reccommend godaddy either way, I've had issues with them and they don't have a great reputation. google it:)

Godaddy is really good for domains, however for hosting I don't know.
