Is Avatar == Reputation ??????????????????????????????

I think avatar do tell a lot about the person, some people are fixed on showbiz they use their favorite celeb images on their avatar, some intend some kid pics. I like that.

 

I have noticed very few have used their actual pic for it (just guessing by look of it not sure), most of the people use other pics for that.

 

Avatars, especially that of a cute looking girl will bring spontaneous attention to what is said and will help you add some positive rep points.

 

This is a fact or not can be said by the person using it, I agree with you that it is the general impression.

 

Yes completely agree with you on this. People hardly use their real images on their avatar.

 

This is not only a general impression but it is true

None wants to expose his/her real image for privacy reasons

 

I feel some people are not on that, they use their own image, irrespective of the reason. (Please note I am not debating with you just sharing the views)

I have often used my own picture as my avatar. I don't think it makes a huge difference in reps received, but maybe I am just not cute enough for that to work.

No. I don't think either avatar brought me many reps. I think the reps that I have earned were based on the content of my posts. Or something like that.

True, true, true ( as we can see, there are only a few more peoples, who think that avatar is not the main reason of giving rep to someone ).

 

many people may get attracted because of your avatar.

 

I think in general just having a unique avatar will get you more friends and maybe more rep. I mean, I notice some people on here by their Avatars, My reaction is like oh look its __.. ha. Its sorta like oh hey again, even though they probably don't notice me. ha.

 

never really thought about it.

i use a different avatar dep on which forum I am in and the mood.

sometimes i just change it every now and then
