The goal came from a penalty which was won by diving.

    It's easy...
Like i said, he feels the touch and artistically jumps to the side, kinda off...
    R. Carvalho foot was freezed, if he's foot was wipping his leg ok...Definately a penalty.
But Carvalho right leg was trying to get the ball, misses...Henry was lucky that Carvalho left leg was were he wanted to be...Again IMO

    C. Ronaldo ought to be slapped for such a poor display of sportsmanship. He dived at least three times when he hadn't even been touched.

Henry didn't dive, he was clipped at the leg. Sure it may not have been intentional, but had it not happened Henry was nicely lined up with a shot on goal.

France are my favourites for the Cup.

Diving should be given a direct red card from now onwards:mad:

The Portuguese, especially Cristiano Ronaldo were guilty of doing it one time too many.

Pauleta looked ineffective alone upfront. He might have done better if he had been partnered with Helder Postiga, but the Portuguese play one striker..so no real chance of that...

Portugal had loads of the ball and ended up with close to 60% of possession but could not really do anything with it.Their best chance came off that Ronaldo free kick, but Figo headed it above Barthez. They are somehow not finding the back of the net and it remains to be seen how they perform against the Germans.

They will miss Carvalho for that one...that chap has been one of the best performers of this WC along with Fabio Cannavaro

As for France, well done guys.:D I had my heart in my mouth on a few occasions because Barthez looked as if he was to have one of his eccentric disasters again.;)
Lilian Thuram had an excellent game. The French back four will have it tougher against Italy.
Again salute the genius called Zidane for taking a wonderful penalty. He kept his cool and slotted it home despite Ricardo guessing the right way.

Repeat of Euro 2000 is what we have ,ladies and gentlemen:)

Not sure what those images are supposed to prove, since they show what happened after there was contact.

Give me a break, that wasn't diving. The defender clearly impeded his movements, without it he would have had a great chance to score a goal.

Portugal are the diving drama queens. If they cut the bull-shit, they're capable of being a great side. Now they're a disgrace.

Yes it is interesting how Portugal fans are talking about diving. Like I said there was contact and a faul. The whole world saw it and no newspaper nor any other media called that a dive !
