Do u think CJ really help you to make money? But I didn't!

I have a free music download site, hobbylazy.com. And some hundred unique users per day. I was suggested to join CJ. It was so happy to hear that CJ could make me earn some money a month. I did try that for 3 months. However, I got nothing except 0$ in my account today.

I think it is really hard to convince people to pay money. CJ is about that. We can't get money unless users buy something via our site.

Do u agree? Let me know your experience with CJ.

Do u know other ways to make some money from our good site? :)

I think Rhapsody/Real, Napster, eMusic etc are all still advertisers with CJ. Try pushing their 'free trials' - if they're still offering leads on them.

I still get the occasional commission from a few of my abandoned music sites.

Sticking CJ ads on existing websites is not the best way to earn money from CJ and other CPA programs.
You'd be better off with Adsense and other PPC programs if they accpet ur site.

You need a lot more presell than just a link or a banner to convert an affiliate prospect.

You see here is a good example of some who thinks once they sign up for CJ it is going make them rich on a dime. First off it is finding the merchants that convert for you, because what works for me will 99% not work for you. Secondly it takes time to find a "niche" that is converting. 3rdly you really have to have patience and a good working imagination if you don't have either well then I am sorry and maybe you should go with adsense traffic.

Yes you're right. It is difficult to be patient. It could be enough for 3 months to give CJ a try with 0$. I could use this space for other CPM ad, and then I could earn at least more than 10$. Adsense or Adbrite still rocks.

You have to do review type writing to pre-sell a lot of CJ stuff. Just using traditional banners does not work well.

Yes I think you're right. If we did some kinds of blog that reviews stuff, then it could work. However, my site is not about that. You know, spending time on blog is just like regular working. It just keeps extremely busy. Anyway, I give up CJ.

    Hi akmenayet,

Could u tell me what type of site u have? Blog or Review a product. If u do that, be more patient. Because I used to buy a lot of books from that kinds of site. Usually users, say programming learners, want to discover about ,say PHP. Then they will google for some PHP. If u have a good site teaching PHP and good SEO, then they could find your site. In the site, they would learn something that you tell them. After a while, there would be no more to learn, except in a book that you advertise. You could encourage them to buy that books. You could show them the some good contents of the book that could attract them. So guess what, 1 in 1000 could buy it. Then there you go... money.

But if u have only a banner of a product hang on the sides of the page, you will never ever get a sell. Trust me....

Anyway, if u wanna wait more, keep doing something like I told u above. Good luck with CJ.
