Hii guys i just wanna some help from you experts.its being 18 months my site is online and i have done so much hard work.i post very unique content before anyone else do it very regularly,no black hat techniques. Now the problem is,i have donw some directory submission, some link exchange etc...& everytime google update comes near my backlinks gradually removed by google & when update is over something after 15 days (after pr update) it shows back all my links on Link: parameter.however all the links are shown correctly in webmaster tools everytime i checkout but in Link: parameter its dancing around.
To make the things more clear.....
in link: parameter google was showing 41 backlinks of my site & all of them were accessible i mean no omitted results (Checked on November)
Now previous pr update was on 31st december & i checked my backlinks on something about 25th of december & result was shocking, google was showing only 9 backlinks.no pr update for my site:eek:
Then i thought ok no problem next time may be.
in Feburary 2009 i again checked my backlinks again it was something about 40+ all of them were accessible (No omitted results)
And now pr update is near & i checked backlinks yesterday they are just came down to 11...

Plz help me guys what's wrong with me:confused:

I think you should only care about the backlinks you see on webmaster tools. Basic search for link:yoursite never returns all backlinks.

Nothing is wrong with you, people add links to people to get links back. Then once they think you have forgotten contact someone else and replace your link with someone else's. You should worry less on watching your backlinks, write a script that monitors website that link to you every day, once your link is removed contact the owner.

Or just concentrate on gaining more inbound links. As Timehacker mentioned Link: isnt really useful, you should be using your statistics for better results.

My link count went up by 300+ at GWT. (about 30 of those were DP posts)
