New ways of promoting a website

Hi all,
Is there any new (different) ways for promoting a website, rather then doing submissions. If so please help me with your ideas....

 

It depends... promoting for traffic or for backlinks?
If you want backlinks then i'm afraid it's either purchasing links, directory submissions, dofollow blog comments etc etc, however if you're looking for traffic, take a look at your target audience and look how you can reach them. Recently i set up a site, and looked at traffic rather than backlinks, and it went splendidly, i looked at my target martket, and virally marketed them via a youtube group, and the word of mouth of my target audience.
Any more details on how you're looking to promote, or the site you're trying to promote, and i'll try to assist you further as best i can

 

I am looking for more traffic to my website.....

 

1/ This one by itself is good. put leaflets in with newspapers and magazines. Go to the local shop(s) and ask the shopkeeper if he will let you do it. If you do not want to pay him go the way I do. find out who delivers newsapers in the morning. Normally schoolkids. tell them you will pay them, you do not have to pay much, each week to put your leaflets in with the newspapers. I can guarantee you traffic.

2/ hold a competition give away a prize on your site. Instant traffic.

3/if you do not want to do submissions ,do articles, I guess you don't want to do that either. Think outside the box and you can get them written for nothing.

There are loads of ways. These are three examples. I stumbled on one method that got a complaint from my hosting provider because of the traffic I was getting.

 

If you willing to pay, then you can advertise on magazine, newspaper, TV....
If you looking for free, submission still is the best way

 

i m also looking to promote my website but i m not getting any clue.....

 

First ,you should promote your website's pages
Second,you should promote your backlinks
Last ,you should promote your audience

 

Try sig links in relevant forums.

 

i think the technique to promote the site is still same..link building, article submission, directory submission and ETC

 

Yeah you need a plan of some sort:

Daily:

Post on a couple of forums related to your websites with your website link in the sig box.
Add your site to a new directory

Weekly:

Add some new optimized content to your site.
Add a new feature to your site: a Poll, comment form etc

Try and get people engaged into your site. Forums of course are an excellent way to get free fresh content.

Friend search engines are the biggest source of traffic out there...
One can attract quality amount of traffic if the site has a good page rank...

I suggest you to try out some SEO services like social book marking and article submissions which will really give a boost to your site and thus good traffic...

These services help in developing back links for a site which are very helpful in improving the page rank hence traffic increases...

Participating in social networking sites. Yahoo and Google groups will increase your traffics

Yahoo answers is on top these days for some quick and decent amount of traffic.

 

A few good quality articles on ezine will get you a lot of traffic. You've got to make sure they're well written, interesting and related to your website though.

 

you can do social networking, blogging and content linking.

 

write good quality content. get social on the net. be honest but not naive. work hard. don't try black hats techniques.

 

Yes yahoo answers also gets some visitors to your site. And its really interesting to answer some questions of those in need or have some query.
Commenting if done properly can have you some traffic.

 

Yahoo answers may be a good way for promotion...Is there any other way friends..
