I met many vets in SE-Asia. They can make a good living with the social security money they get.
I've seen that they get pre-printed check books which they can withdraw one check every month at any American Bank abroad.

 

Well, I'm sick of hearing that they are fighting for our 3500 (whatever it is) lost citizens of 911.

I can't speak for other branches, though I'm sure they probably do, but the Army has programs to help transition soldiers to the civilian work force. These include things like helping practice for interviews, how to write effective resumes, contact info for Veteran's Representatives at their local unemployment office.

I think some may have the perception that when you decide not to re-enlist, they just kick you out and take you to the front gate and drop you off. You know when your time is coming up and if you are not going to re-enlist, can prepare for that departure, or not.

Hey - it's terrible that anyone is homeless and that we as a society can't make the sacrifice to help out a little.

But, lets not forget - alot of the people who chose army and war over a college education - weren't exactly the smartest and most qualified for good jobs to begin with, then the army brainwashes them, sends them to kill and murder indescriminately, and when its over the president gives them a fake thank you and forgets them...

 

theres a positive to everything and a negative side, look at the positive that they had no opportunities , and then joined the army which gave them a opportunity to do good, earn some money, and gain some skills

It seems you feel you are the only one qualified to be American, everyone else just supports terrorism. If that's what it takes to not be associated with you, feel the need to label, please continue to do so.

 

My reply had nothing to do with terrorism nor was it a label and it solicited the exact response I expected from yo-yo...he does nothing to make a difference.

And to be honest, I have no interest in being associated with you. You've made your positions very clear in the past. If you are ashamed of the positions you take, change them. I see who you call out and who you do not.
